The Cost of Love Archive Tee

Archive Edition 001

Every dream has an origin.

Mine didn’t begin with success.

It began with grief.

This was one the first piece ever created at Mended Hearts. The vision was smaller. The execution was simpler. I was designing from the limits of the person I believed I was instead of the person I was still becoming. I think that’s true for more people than we’d like to admit.

When life breaks us, it doesn’t just affect our hearts.

It shrinks our imagination. The dreams become safer. The goals become smaller.

We begin building lives around what feels possible instead of what we’re actually capable of.

This tee reminds me of that version of myself.

Not because it’s perfect.

Because it’s honest.

The portraits it carries are more than cultural icons. They represent lives whose impact continued long after they were gone.

The words on the back

“Grief Is The Price You Pay For Love.”

Became something I would understand more deeply with time.

You cannot grieve what you never loved.

And if grief is the cost of love, then perhaps it isn’t something to run from.

Perhaps it’s proof that something meaningful existed in the first place.
